Often times, when the weekend rolls around I'm down right exhausted from the work week that the thought of going out and doing something is daunting. Your energy expenditure throughout the week for some may be high and others minimal depending on your type of work but for me, personally I expend so much energy through social interaction I often times find myself sat on the couch watching Netflix. Now Saturday night is my time to shine as I've had time to recuperate and I am ready to get back out there and be social with friends, family, or the boyfriend.
What to do on a Saturday Night if you're ready to liven life up a bit?
First off there's always going out to eat at a nice restaurant with friends or a significant other. I enjoy Thai and Japanese food a little too much so you can typically find me at a Sushi joint stuffing my face with Spicy Salmon rolls.
Secondly you could go for drinks at your local pub, restaurant or full out nightclub if the drinks are doing there thing and relaxing you. You can learn a lot about people by what they drink and especially how they act once they've had a drink or 5. As I age, I've realized that binge drinking isn't all that its cracked up to be and the hangover is a great deterrent to downing tequila shots at the bar.
Thirdly, have a local theater or even a movie theater around you? Why not hit up a show, grab some popcorn and relax in front of a giant stage where you can keep thinking to a minimum and just be entertained.
Lastly, if you're still not feeling up to going out and being a social butterfly, I personally love making a nice meal for dinner, grabbing some snacks from the store and settling in to a nice Netflix and chill session with friends or yourself.
The possibilities are endless. Enjoy the weekend while you can.
