Currently I am living by this motto, however the travel part has not came into effect just yet but I'd like to say I'm great at eating well. Over the years my diet and what I consume on a daily basis has changed, I wouldn't say drastically but gradually in a good way. When I was younger I had a pretty great metabolism as all teenagers do and being involved in various sport activities I was able to eat a lot of both "good" food and "bad" food. Take those terms loosely because food doesn't need such adjectives like they've done something wrong. After going away to college I quickly realized that my body couldn't maintain eating that way and the college cafeteria wasn't the best place for watching your figure. After half a semester and realizing I felt like crap, I decided to change my eating habits and become more aware of what was being put into my body.
I've tried many diets or ways of eating from that point on and some examples include: low-carb high fat, low-fat high carb, only clean foods, and avoiding all things fast food. With all these things, like many diets, I would either not be able to sustain them over a period of time or I would eventually binge on weekends and ruin my metabolism in the process.
Fast forward to now, and I'm still playing around with what my body can digest and what foods allow me to grow and become a stronger person both inside and out.
Not one diet or way of eating will suit everyone and I think more people need to realize that and find what works best for them.
As well for the travel part, I wish to do more of that this year and plan to explore this beautiful world of ours.
